This sunflower and I have some things in common. Having not had a decent break from work since January I sit wilting at my desk trawling through the days work. Next week, however, I start a two week holiday. I'm spending some time with Amber and I'm attending Jonathan's wedding in Malta. So, unlike my friend, the sunflower, I may well perk up!

Andrew 20/08/06 - 20:08:49 I love the repeating pattern. The background color reminds me of the LOTR movie.
Paul 20/08/06 - 20:08:54 Great shot, the tones really add to the feeling of death in this.
Steve W 20/08/06 - 22:08:36 Brilliant shot Jon, it's so unlike most other sunflower shots this time of year. the tones captured match the mood perfectly.
groovyf 20/08/06 - 23:08:01 Indeed, most Sunflower shots are takne when the plant is 'in bloom'. Nice sharp photo, and muted tones match the subject matter well.

Digital Photo Ted 24/08/06 - 03:08:05 Good composition, with the flower looking down, emphasising the feeling of being tired. The colour also confirmes the theme as there is no usual bright yellow the sunflowers are normally associated with.

Jamey 25/08/06 - 03:08:41 Bloody hell... I leave you alone for a week and now you've got thirty people commenting on every post. Bloody sell-out ;) ...Really nice shot. Seen a few people so the decaying flower thing recently and I always like it. Ought to have a stab myself but not found any suitable subjects round here.
